Caris Life Sciences Sr. Medical Director in Boston, Massachusetts
Position Summary
The Senior Medical Director is responsible for being the face of Caris’ clinical and scientific expertise and building collaborative relationships (internally and externally).
Job Responsibilities
Function as a leading face of Caris’ clinical and scientific expertise in the marketplace
Build high-value relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, and the scientific and medical communities
Work closely with the Company’s Vice President/Research and Development, the Vice President/Medical Affairs, the Chief Medical Officer, Business Development and others in collaboration on important work to advance the Company’s growth, products, reputation and more
Work collaboratively with field sales (Key Account Directors and Executive Sales Management) and Business Development team to increase Caris’ clinical and scientific profile and enhance relationship with key customers, opinion leaders, and potential business partners
Serve as a medical/scientific brand expert for the CMI platform
Drive support for scientific/educational strategies and tactics such as clinical and disease area publications, advisory boards, slide libraries, advocacy development, review of product advertising and promotional materials, and professional/continuing education programs
Provide support and training to field-based personnel such as Medical Science Liaisons and any other field personnel
Represent Medical Affairs on Caris Evidence Team to guide product drug association rules and related medical/scientific decisions
Review of Marketing/Sales materials to ensure a high value clinical message
Serve as key communication channel between market and R&D/Product Development to ensure product evolution meets evolving market needs (voice to R&D)
Required Qualifications
Must hold a doctorate-level degree in medicine or the life sciences
5 + years of experience working in a Medical Director or similar capacity
5 + years of experience working in a regulated environment (CLIA, NYS, ISO, CAP, FDA, etc.)
Must be a Medical Oncologist and/or Hematologist
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Windows and general software use for business
Conditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening and reference verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong background in molecular oncology and personalized medicine in the oncology space
Physical Demands
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use standard office equipment
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Required Training
- All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.
Other
- This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or Holidays.
Annual Hiring Range
$350,000 - $390,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
