The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) provides intelligent chemistry solutions for the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, diagnostic, detection, electronic, fuel cell, paints and coatings market. This team supports global customers from research and development through to manufacturing. The LCD organization is supported by more than 1400 employees globally across 7 locations. LCD is organized into two distinct business units that focus on delivering reagents to support chemical synthesis (Fine Chemical Products Business Unit) and chemical analysis and purification (Laboratory Analytical Reagents Business Unit).

What will you do?

The PPI Business Systems Leader supports the development and implementation of a PPI strategy for the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) that delivers a continuous improvement culture and achieves aspirational growth through improved customer experience.

As part of the Program Management, Strategy and PPI team this role will be key in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with both external and internal customers and key partners through impactful and customer centric ways of working. Therefore, the ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization will be critical to the success of the role and the Laboratory Chemicals Division.

To be considered for this role, you will have a track record of delivering change through continuous improvement (PPI),

Equally vital will be an ability to think strategically and the skills to translate strategy to deployment, combined with the achieve business growth through targeted activity.

The incumbent will have a history of using financial know-how to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements the LCD PPI Strategy to successfully support customer centricity and therefore division growth aspirations.

  • Operationalizes's strategy through standard PPI tools and techniques.

  • Removes ambiguity and drives clarity and simplicity to establish aligned, and actionable high-level plans.

  • Supports project management teams on project planning, execution, and control phases, ensuring timely and within-budget project deployment.

  • Develops and implements a roadmap to deliver lean culture throughout the business using training and engagement initiatives.

  • Coordinates division’s performance management framework, collaborating with functions and site management to measure performance and align with divisional and company goals.

  • Directs improvement processes that aid commercial strategy team.

  • Delivers divisional and corporate productivity targets.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, supply chain, operations or business preferred.

  • Minimum of 10+ years in an operations/manufacturing leadership role.

  • Capable of thinking strategically and seeing the ‘bigger picture’.

  • Strong communicator able to share ideas and gain engagement.

  • Recognized as an outstanding leader of teams, this the ability to influence and empower.

  • Excellent customer management capable of operating in a matrix environment

  • Good financial skill, commercial awareness, and business knowledge

  • Willing and able to adopt technology to accelerate growth.
