Amazon Sr. Financial Analyst, Blink Subscriptions in Boston, Massachusetts
Description
Blink is at the forefront of consumer electronics home security, and is the result of one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns ever. Amazon’s Devices and Services organization seeks an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the Finance team supporting Blink. This role leads financial support for Blink's subscription business, which has grown in size and complexity since launch.
The successful candidate will have experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting high-velocity decisions. The candidate will partner with business stakeholders to provide financial guidance and leadership, as well as collaborate with cross-functional finance teams in support of the subscriptions business. The candidate will build financial models to forecast subscriptions revenue and other key performance indicators (KPI's) and help drive decisions on maximizing growth potential for new and existing customers.
Key job responsibilities
Lead financial support for the global subscriptions business. Develop financial models to forecasts and bridge key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive revenue outlook.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to evaluate financial impacts and trade offs. Use highly analytical data backed assumptions to influence leadership decisions to maximize long term value for the brand.
Dive deep into current finance and business processes to highlight opportunities for improved efficiency.
Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required by finance and business leadership.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
4+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
