Job Description

The Senior Copywriter brings experience and expertise to the creative process and is equally comfortable writing headlines, email and website copy as well as scripts and social and banner ad copy. They enjoy writing persuasive copy for a variety of mediums while conveying the tone and style set by the client. The Sr. Copywriter works with a creative team (Creative Director and Art Director) to develop creative strategy and concepts for various marketing campaigns. The copywriter is responsible for taking a clients thoughts and translating them into a compelling marketing story about the product or customers.


  • Meets with clients to establish goals and objectives for creative campaigns

  • Works with creative team of Creative Director and Art Director and marketing teamto develop creative strategies that engage users.

  • Manage the copywriting process from concept to completion

  • Writes and edits engaging copy for business-to-business and business-to-consumer communication including video, collateral, web copy, social media, banner ads, and email.

  • Must be flexible ability to write for automotive, consumer goods, financial services and tech fields

  • Should be very comfortable presenting and explaining concepts and strategies to clients.

  • Ensure written communication and brand standards are met

  • Works withCreative Director to provide time/hours estimates. Responsible for delivering copy within budgeted hours and on time

  • Must keep up with marketing and business trends to provide fresh ideas

  • Writes for target audience

  • Responsible for meeting client objectives

  • Rigorously proofread and edit every piece of work to deliver the highest-quality deliverables


  • Outstanding proofreading skills

  • Good verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Juggle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines

  • Highly motivated

  • Self-starter, self-directed

  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required

  • Adobe Creative Cloud knowledge a plus

  • Mac and PC capabilities a plus


  • Bachelors degree in communication, English, journalism, advertising, marketing or other related field.

  • 6+ years of experience copywriting for marketing or ad agency

  • Automotive marketing background

  • Portfolio/writing samples required
