Basic Function

The Solution Consultant is a quota-carrying team member responsible for working alongside Sales Reps and providing technical expertise for various customer accounts across industries. Assigned to a specific set of Compliance Solutions offerings, the Solution Consultant will help articulate a product’s value propositions and drive the growth of strategic product offerings. The Solution Consultant is also responsible for leveraging pipeline data to identify potential new or cross-sell opportunities that can be introduced to existing customers. The Solution Consultant is accountable for achieving their quota for a specific set of offerings, adhering to defined sales methodologies, processes, and policies that govern the sales process, and developing internal working relationships with other CS Sales Reps. The Solution Consultant will also work closely with the Product organization, ensuring product enhancements meet the needs of Compliance Solutions’ customers.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Work alongside other Compliance Solutions Key, Financial Services, and Specialty Sales Reps to identify and pursue opportunities for a subset of Compliance Solutions products across the lead-to-order process.

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge and technical understanding of specific products within the Compliance Solutions portfolio.

  • Support Sales Reps and Product representatives on solution design-related activities for highly complex or customized solutions.

  • Identify additional cross-/up-sell opportunities for strategic, high-growth products using SFDC data and collaboration with Sales Reps.

  • Build, tailor, and conduct demos to demonstrate the technical functionality of CS offerings and demonstrate how they address a customer’s needs.

  • Build rapport in demos and customer-facing meetings by demonstrating technical understanding and articulating a product(s) value proposition.

  • Present Compliance Solutions’ technical capabilities and provide expert insights to support the sale of assigned product offerings

  • Deliver against individual quotas.

  • Progress technical expertise by leading and attending internal training sessions alongside Product team members

  • Support product road mapping by sharing customer insights that help shape the prioritization of key product enhancements.

  • Develop and mentor new and existing team members of varying levels of experience.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.

Experience:

  • Three years' experience as a primary SME voice (Presales Engineer, Solution Consultant, Solution Architect, Solution Engineer, etc.) supporting sales cycles, preferably in cloud-based technology products.

  • Articulate the value propositions of complex software solutions in internal and client-facing settings.

  • Lead effective demos and technical discussions using story-telling and executive presence.

  • Present clearly to a wide range of audiences, from technical champions to senior executives.

  • Proven ability to quickly and deeply learn newbies and clearly communicate their value proposition.

  • Communicate effectively in both face-to-face and virtual selling environments with senior executive stakeholders.

  • The team effectively with Sales team members across a variety of industries and accounts.

  • Effectively conduct or receive knowledge transfer with other team members.

  • Highly goal-oriented, focused on achieving/exceeding expected targets.

  • Stay organized and manage multiple priorities at once.

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications: (First list requirements, followed by preferences.)

  • Experience in the lending or corporate compliance industries.

  • Sales experience and understanding of the lead-to-order process within lending or corporate compliance industries.

  • Analytical background with the ability to interpret and act on sales data.

  • Demo2Win or similar certifications

Travel requirements

  • Willingness to travel when needed (approximately 25%)
