JOB SUMMARY
This job defines the product’s fundamental value proposition, outlines vision and roadmap, gains alignment and support from key strategic partners and stakeholders and oversees execution of that vision. This incumbent will collaborate with the Product Owner to establish a prioritized list of work within the Program Backlog.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the company's strategy, product roadmap and competitive position. The Product Manager develops a holistic product vision and the corresponding product strategy to drive business value.
Works directly with the client to determine their needs, then translates that knowledge into Features to be delivered by the development teams.
Identify and drives both cross-product and cross-customer value.
Owns the product backlog and uses input from internal and partner teams to frequently refresh and re-prioritize the backlog, which feeds the various team backlogs with new work.
Clearly develop and communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and impediments to business value flow across audiences, from product team to executive levels.
Identify and drives both cross-product and cross-customer value.
Actively anticipates future needs and utilizes metrics and qualitative input to identify asset improvement opportunities.
Provides Features to the ART Business Owners prior to PI Planning to establish scope for the upcoming Program Increment.
Supports the product management COP and represents the product in governance meetings.

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics, Business or Healthcare
Substitutions
- 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Mathematics, Business or Healthcare
EXPERIENCE
Required
5 years as a Product Owner OR of Product Development & Management OR of Project/Program Management
3 years in the Healthcare or Software industry
Preferred
3 years of Strategic Consulting
3 years of Analytic Consulting
3 years of Agile Project work
LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- None
Preferred
- Agile certification from an established source (Scrum.org, SAFe, Scrum Alliance, etc.)
SKILLS
Empowered problem-solving capabilities, focusing on the customer and business needs
Effective decision-making competencies taking into consideration business value, market commitments and strategic importance
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, consumer engagement and customer design
Effective communicator to all levels of the organization including but not limited to Executive Leadership
Experience with program boards, backlog prioritization, and customer engagement
