Institute for Healthcare Improvement Social Media Coordinator 12-mo Contract in Boston, Massachusetts
Reporting directly to the Director of Education Marketing, the Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for implementing IHI\'s social media strategy to enhance online presence and brand awareness. The Social Media Coordinator will contribute to effectively managing and growing social media presence across multiple platforms. Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Support the organic social strategy across all social platforms that successfully showcases IHI as an Improvement Science organization Create, edit, publish, and share daily content that builds meaningful connections Contribute to the development of content calendars in advance that align with the strategic direction of the organization Work closely with Marketing Operations Manager to assist with paid media opportunities Assist with tracking and analyzing social performance for content from our campaigns, conferences Collaborate with the Marketing Communication team and other departments across IHI Develop a schedule for social monitoring of keywords and hashtags for IHI\'s owned social media channels and report findings Coordinate with Marketing Managers and Directors to create editorial calendars and build campaigns to drive engagements and leads for Open Enrollment opportunities such as professional development programs, conferences, IHI\'s online learning platform and other strategic initiatives Monitor trends in social media, suggest and propose ideas to maintain relevancy and capitalize on trends. Use social media marketing tools such as Sprout, Mention and HubSpot All other duties as assigned within the Marketing Communications department Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools including exceptional knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and other social media best practices Basic understanding of social media best practices including content calendars, paid media engagements, social monitoring, etc. Data analytic skills that lead to strategic content decisions Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics Good understanding of social media KPI\'s prospecting Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space Proven project management and managing multiple priorities and ability to work independently and proactively. Understanding of and ability to use various marketing tools Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate a creative mindset and approach to developing ideas Ability to manage time and meet content calendar deadlines High level of detail orientation and ability to proofread own work and edit other\'s Strong collaboration skills with a focus on learning from other team members Commitment to IHI Values Commitment to equity, anti-racism, and the improvement of societal systems Position Qualifications: Required Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent work experience 1-3 years in a social media and digital marketing role, which can include internships Technology Experience o Microsoft Office: Intermediate Proficiency: Microsoft Word & PowerPoint Beginner proficiency: Excel o Experience with social media marketing tools: Marketing Automation Software Web Analytics Systems Social Media Software Preferred Specific Tools Experience: o HubSpot o Google Analytics o Sprout Social
