The Senior Social Media Specialist will be responsible for executing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage donors and donor prospects, and to achieve the organizations objectives. Works closely with a wide variety of stakeholders to create plans, with a focus on ROI, that drive event registration and donations. Should be passionate about the social media space and focused on current and emerging trends, both within the non-profit and consumer marketplace. Should have a focus on collaboration with copywriters, designers, and video editors to produce outstanding creative work.

This Senior Social Media Specialist will:

  • Develop and implement social media plans to achieve the Trust’s goals and objectives.

  • Provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders, bringing best practices, A/B testing, and other optimization tactics to the planning process.

  • Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent messaging, branding, and alignment with the hospital’s standards and guidelines.

  • Work closely with creative team, providing strategic plans, data analytics, and creative briefs for the creative team to use for content creation.

  • Will provide input as needed, sharing data ongoing for creative asset optimization.

  • Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms when needed for event day coverage, immediate needs, or to quickly address an urgent need.

  • Partner with communications team colleagues to develop integrated promotions and campaigns utilizing social media channels.

  • In collaboration with stakeholders and colleagues, will create and execute a content calendar for different social media platforms and audiences.

  • Provide continuous monitoring of social channel metrics and regularly reports on progress.

  • Analyze social media campaign effectiveness and utilize data to review impact and results and to create measurement reports.

  • Analyze social media data ongoing, gather insights to identify trends, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain knowledge base on latest tools and social media tactics being used by other non-profits. Monitor Trust specific posts and respond to comments, messages and mentions as needed. Escalate sensitive issues when required.

    To qualify, you must have:

  • BA degree in Marketing, Media, Digital Communications, Advertising or related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.

  • Experience with social media strategy and content development

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of marketing and promotion via high-profile communities on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience with SEO and third-party tools such as Spredfast, Brandwatch, Radian6, and/or Google Analytics.

  • Excellent communication skills (written as well as verbal and interpersonal) as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other staff.

  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills

  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
