Join Takeda as a Senior Scientist, High Throughput Robotics and Automation where you will drive the development and implementation of end-to-end scale-down cell and viral vector manufacturing protocols, as well as in-vitro assays. A key accountability of this role will be the management of cross-functional CMC and Research collaborations to ensure optimal utilization of HTS-based endpoints to expedite both pipeline- and platform-endpoints.

How you will contribute:

  • You will be the SME in the design, implementation, qualification, and continuous improvements of the automated, HTS-based processes for both cell- and viral vector-endpoints.

  • Work closely with senior team leaders and cross-functional teams and provides scientific and technical recommendations.

  • Support IND enabling studies and filing related document preparation.

  • Serves as a technical resource for junior staff and leverages expertise in laboratory technology as a functional resource/trainer.

  • Draft technical documents, such as SOPs and study reports.

  • Preparation and presentation comprehensive technical or project reports and formal presentations to both internal and external audiences.

  • Ensure optimal alignment and coordination with cross-functional matrixed teams.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 3+ years experience or MS with 9+ years experience, or BS with 11+ years experience in molecular biology, immunology, bioengineering, or related scientific disciplines with relevant experience.

  • You will be a highly qualified high throughput systems (HTS) automation expert with a strong background in HTS-based process and analytical automation for both cell and viral vector products.

  • Around 5 years of industry experience with hands-on experience in lab automation, particularly high throughput robotics (HTS) for cell-based processes and assays, is required.

  • Experience with end-to-end experiment automation, data integration and automated reporting is preferred.

  • Previous experience in Cell Therapy or related field is preferred.

  • Proven experience in working in a matrixed teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team are required.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
