Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Microsoft’s Global Payments and Risk team’s mission is to enable frictionless ecommerce payments while minimizing fraud risk for Azure, Office, Xbox, Microsoft.com, and Microsoft Advertising. The Global Payments and Risk team is seeking to hire a Sr. Business Program Manager who will be responsible for the strategy and execution for the team in order to achieve predictable business outcomes. This position is the central point of contact representing the team with other Engineering, Business Planning, and Customer Experience groups to drive requirements/improvements in delivering our next generation Payments/Risk experiences. This role requires exceptionally strong leadership skills that can work across complex organizations and many stakeholders to drive positive change for our customers. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Own team business planning, project management, and driving the execution against those plans

  • Representing customer experiences and features in the prioritization intake process

  • Communicating out key updates and status to customer experiences and features to appropriate stakeholders

  • Collecting customer feedback pertaining to Payment/Risk capabilities needed to support the business

  • Evaluating our Payment/Risk experiences with that of competitors and identifying key feature gaps

  • Drive cross company collaboration to support our success metrics by aligning with internal business groups, engineering teams, and senior leadership

Key Qualifications:

  • This role has a high degree of visibility and requires someone with strong executive presence

  • Can define complex business requirements and collaborate across a large stakeholder community while having the impact and influence to deliver results in a complex organization

  • Experience coordinating with many groups to successfully implement customer impacting changes. Examples of such groups include product planning, engineering, marketing, legal, finance, compliance, and customer support

  • Experience in adjusting priorities, decisions, and actions to respond to multiple demands, unanticipated events, and new information

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong core program management skills (scheduling, issue identification/resolution, risk mitigation, dependency management)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence others without direct authority, including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Technical or Business Program Management experience

  • 5+ years of online experience (ecommerce or online services)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, business management, or a related field

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation - to peers and executives)

  • Experience in Cloud Commerce (Billing + Subscription) platform

  • Highly organized, with great attention to ensure required details are not overlooked

  • Strong multi-tasking aptitude in order to manage multiple issues/projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong cross-group communication, collaboration, negotiation, and leadership skills

  • Relationship building skills, maturity, strong presentation skills, high degree of self-confidence

  • Experience influencing outcomes through partnerships across multiple divisions
