Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Marketing Manager, Azure VMware Solutions in Boston, Massachusetts

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the core Azure marketing team responsible for Azure VMware Solutions. Your goal will be to reach customers who run VMware solutions in their own datacenters and help them transform their IT operations with cloud agility, security and resilience. Together we will build a high-impact Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, including customer segmentation and targeting, clear and differentiated messaging, and promotional and launch strategies. This role will require working closely across teams, including Azure marketing, engineering, sales, and partner teams. The ideal candidate will take the outside-in view of customer experience, demonstrate powerful storytelling skills, and work in an inclusive, collaborative way.

Responsibilities

  • Gain insight into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities, and buyer personas

  • Develop core product messaging that differentiates products and services from others in the market

  • Create content such as decks, videos, website copy and blog posts to bring the value proposition to life

  • Communicate the value of new products and services to the sales and marketing teams

  • Develop and implement promotions and product launches, including co-marketing programs with VMware.

  • Maintain and manage competitive intelligence and comparisons by working with cross-functional stakeholders and executing self-led research

  • Partner closely with engineering teams to integrate customer voice and requirements into our Azure service offerings

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in marketing, product management, technical pre-sales, and/or partner enablement

  • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in marketing, product management, technical pre-sales, and/or partner enablement

  • OR equivalent experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in marketing, product management, technical pre-sales, and/or partner enablement

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in marketing, product management, technical pre-sales, and/or partner enablement

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of relevant technology experience, including experience in cloud / VMware environments is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer needs and preferences by having a deep outside-in empathy for customer experience and success

  • Experience crafting compelling stories that threads customer value with product truth

  • Strong written and verbal communication that effectively conveys information, ideas, and messages clearly and persuasively across all levels of the organization

  • Experience envisioning and articulating end-to-end value propositions and customer scenarios, highlighting the transformative potential of technology solutions

  • Ability to foster intellectual curiosity through research, problem solving, and innovative solutioning with a track record of capitalizing on new business opportunities

  • Experience taking initiative to independently manage multiple projects, ensuring efficient execution and measurable results

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
