To learn more, please see As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for National Geographic Learning in the secondary K-12 market, you will be working with outstanding support partners to advance College and Career Readiness for teachers and students across the country. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives to drive lead generation and support the sales organization. The Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives to drive lead generation and support the sales organization. This role will focus on the high school Career & Technical Education (CTE) market. This individual will have a real impact working with a dynamic team of marketers. What you'll do here: + Demonstrating industry experience, expertise, and leadership to create and implement exemplary strategies, initiatives, and processes that serve to drive not only the success of one’s owned portfolio and the entire marketing team. + Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, sales enablement efforts, presentation and collateral development, and other initiatives related to growing market share. Understand and recommend marketing tactics and channels most effective in moving your customers along the decision-making and usage journey. + Use extensive customer interaction and market penetration and research to achieve deep market and customer understanding and analysis, defining areas of growth opportunity, developing compelling messaging for target audiences, and more effectively enabling and training sales. + Use strong leadership skills to become the voice of the market and product, helping to define portfolio strategy and success. + Understand the market landscape, competitive advantages/disadvantages and product offerings to help define specific areas of sales, business and campaign focus. Collect customer and market intelligence including targeted surveys to collect data, analyze and set plans to drive business. + Create compelling needs-based subject area, course, and product positioning and messaging for target audiences and customer segments as inputs for campaign and sales enablement efforts. + For new products, plan and launch campaigns early in development cycle, and advise and on product development efforts. + Has strong command of sales pipeline for portfolio and identifies Top Targets for portfolio and collaborates with Sales to advance and close business, create user-based marketing, enhance product, and serve as voice for NGL. + Write and edit copy for marketing collateral; leads projects with the creative design team; tracks and analyzes campaign results; assists with and creates presentations and trainings; obtains approvals for special offers; and works directly with departments across the company, vendors, and customers. + Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Team on email campaigns, social media, blog posting, website work (SEO, form submissions, development, etc.) helping to strategize and providing content. + Directly engage with sales on the creation of regional marketing resources, researching and answering product questions, creating sales enablement tools for product positioning, and training on product. Develop and maintain our sales “playbook” with product and market information and marketing resources. + Lead, with coordination support, on the development and execution of national customer events and conferences; and support the regional execution of events. + May manage at lease one direct report. Skills you will need here: + BA/BS, Marketing or Education field preferred. + Minimum of 5-8 years of Marketing experience. + Shown success in leading and implementing B2B marketing programs for the academic market. + Experience implementing data-driven marketing campaigns; experience with program management and business intelligence software a plus. + Able to remain agile while optimally leading a high-volume of work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. + Digital marketing skills covering email, social, and webpage creation. + Strong copywriting skills. + Proficient digital literacyh. Ability to perform at an intermediate to advanced level in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. Experience in other digital marketing systems. + The creativity and resourcefulness needed to create content strategies that balance user needs with business requirements. + Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with other team members, customers, sales, etc. + Able to travel as needed to conferences and customer events. + Experience partnering with creative services, freelance/contractors, agency partners or other vendors to develop marketing campaigns. Preferred: + Involvement in the education, publishing, and/or information industry market(s). + Familiarity with SEO/SEM, project management, Eloqua, Adobe Creative Suite and/or other design programs, CRM, and/or analytical platforms.
