We're seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical to spearhead our pivotal claims billing applications, foundational operations, and new feature development across claims billing workflows, prior authorizations and compliance services. This high-impact role will drive growth and scale strategies for Amazon Pharmacy's billing applications, delivering products that create exceptional experiences for our customers and internal teams.
In this role, you'll need to be a consummate industry insider and a forward-thinking innovator. You will identify strategic opportunities that can revolutionize our billing applications to support 'speed to delivery' and various claim adjudications workflows at scale. This might involve discovering innovative ways to streamline our processes, reduce operational costs, or create breakthrough experiences using AI for our customers. Your keen eye for improvement will be constantly scanning our current systems, looking for those game-changing enhancements that can set Amazon Pharmacy to deliver delightful experiences for our customers. In this role, you will work with a team of technical and non-technical stakeholders ranging from engineers, technical program managers and designers to compliance teams, vendors, operations and BizDev teams.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of creative, high-quality product roadmaps based on product strategy and vision
Assume end-to-end responsibility for the strategic value, usability, and performance of our products
Manage prioritization and trade-offs amongst customer experience, scope, and time to market
Work closely with frontend/backend engineering teams, design, and stakeholders in an agile environment to deliver products to market
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues to help the team meet business, financial, and technical goals
Manage product planning and development through day to day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including engineers, designers and business or subject matter representatives
Develop detailed, crisp user stories with acceptance criteria based on customer needs/experience and business requirements that can be used to create product specifications and architecture
Work with UX Research to design usability and research studies to inform product requirements and influence product design and experience
Define and analyzes metrics that measure and benchmark product success
Drive product launches including working with public relations/marketing team, customers, executives, and other team members
Play active role in optimization and process improvements between product, design, and engineering teams

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
5+ years’ experience working with internal customer and technical teams to collect
requirements and define software services and features
5+ years’ experience defining and delivering a roadmap; demonstrated ability to influence strategic product direction
Strong written and oral communication skill and experience presenting to senior Leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Experience managing technical products or online services
Prior pharmacy or healthcare experience
Passionate about data, and data driven solutions
Prior exposure to regulatory guidance or authorities such as NCPDP or CMS
Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated decision making through business analysis and data, as well as with intuition and creativity
Experience leading new launches of consumer health products and services
5+ years’ experience working on products and problems of a technical nature
Able to work with a high degree of autonomy through ambiguous circumstances
Strong sense of accountability, sound personal judgment and global business acumen
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic work environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
