Amazon Web Services Senior Product Manager, Sales Incentive Compensation in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

Job summary

For more than 11 years, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted provider of cloud computing products and services. AWS offers over 100 fully featured services to millions of active customers around the world—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—to power their infrastructure.

The Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC) team is a single-threaded organization within Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) that is focused on incentive compensation plan design and delivery for AWS’ global sales organization. We create and operationalize sales incentive plans that encourage the behaviors which are required to achieve strategic business goals.

The Product Management function within the AWS Sales Incentive Compensation team is growing rapidly and is looking for a senior leader. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible the strategy, roadmap and performance for our incentive compensation calculation tools. In this role, you will own and drive exciting new product initiatives - from building new features, to improving performance and latency, to leading proposals and development for new solutions. This is a visible position that will interact at all levels of the AWS businesses and the ability to collaborate effectively with other senior leaders and customers is a key requirement for this role. We need you to help shape the vision for future customer capabilities and develop a strategy to achieve the vision.

Candidates for this role will have a strong bias for action and bring a history of delivering results. You will leverage data and industry experience to make informed decisions and can advise and lead development teams/stakeholders who don’t have the same business context or customer perspective. This is a highly cross-functional role, engaging directly with customers of all sizes, fellow product managers and engineers across multiple development teams.

The right candidate will possess a strong product and program management background, have experience leading medium to large tech products and projects, and excel at written and verbal communications. A background in sales operations or with automated calculations will be significant plus. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means anticipating bottlenecks, making trade-offs and balancing the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You will be expected to have strong opinions about design and user experience, as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of your program.

You will drive prioritization across multiple development teams, communication with internal stakeholders, user testing with customers and the adoption plan with sales. You are an evangelist, promoting new features to customers, defining success metrics, and accelerating adoption while simultaneously ensuring controllership and the highest quality standards for the products that you support.

This position may be based in our AWS offices in Seattle, WA; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Jersey City, NJ, Arlington, VA; or Denver CO.
