Amazon Senior Product Manager, Global Logistics, Biz Ops in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

Global Logistics (GL) Biz Ops is seeking a growth-oriented Senior Product Manager to drive the growth strategy for our 3rd party Seller cross-border transportation product. You will develop insights on our customers' needs by leading customer segmentation analyses and prioritize an adoption growth roadmap consisting of service and geographic expansion, product capabilities, and strategic partnerships. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, pricing, product, and operations to deliver growth and adoption goals and glidepaths.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own GL's customer segmentation product, working with Data Science and Business Intelligence teams to generate new insights about our customers and guide the adoption growth strategy for GL's 3P import business.

  • Partner with Finance to build investment theses for growth initiatives across all aspects of the business and operation.

  • Own growth goals for the business.

  • Own inputs to long term planning for adoption growth and craft leadership narratives for adoption glidepaths and opportunities

  • Lead investment prioritization decisions for cross functional growth initiatives

A day in the life

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the strategic vision and execution of growth plans for GL's 3P cross-border transportation business. Your day may involve researching customer needs and finding new insights on customer behavior, building investment theses for transportation and supply chain innovations to improve customer experience, and collaborating across GL to deliver growth initiatives through sales, marketing, and pricing strategies, expanding our service offerings, improving the shipper experience, or building innovative supply chain infrastructure or strategic partnerships to differentiate the GL import product.

About the team

Global Logistics (GL) is responsible for optimizing cost-effective flow throughout Amazon’s inbound network while providing Amazon with greater control, performance, and inbound visibility. The Business Operations (BizOps) team within GL is responsible for pricing, cost, growth, speed, and profitability of the inbound business. Our customer is the shipper who utilizes GL domestic and import transportation programs (vendors and sellers). Our objective is to execute on time, save shippers money, and offer distinctive features and services to all shippers regardless of size.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
