The Pricing Strategy team is seeking a product manager with a track record of driving new products from initial concept to successful delivery and adoption. You will be responsible for delivering product monetization capabilities for new and existing Salesforce products, enabling Salesforce to reach into new segments of an evolving marketplace. You will deliver tooling that allows Salesforce customers to understand and manage their spend on Salesforce products, building Trust by allowing them to buy from us with more transparency and predictability.
As the Product Manager for Monetization Technology, your work will be built upon your expert understanding of the problems our customers, partners, and internal teams face getting answers to the seemingly simple questions, “what have I bought, and what have I used?” You will deliver business requirements to cross-department scrum teams across the Product, Engineering, IT, and Operations organizations, based on our product monetization vision and strategy. This product owner role is a unique opportunity to develop cross-functional, and cross-product expertise in pricing, product operations, monetization, licensing & provisioning, usage-tracking, and billing management while getting exposure to a variety of high priority products and market expansion initiatives. You own the product roadmap and are the single point of accountability for delivering its capabilities. This includes understanding the stakeholder needs from Salesforce’s usage-based products, usage tracking, customer communication & notifications, reporting goals, and monetization strategies. Build vision and strategy based on data-driven insights; set and execute a roadmap to accomplish vision.
Partner with various scrum teams to deliver a world-class application with input from product managers from Salesforce products, pricing strategy, monetization, sales strategy, product operations, internal product experts, including product managers from the CPQ product teams and drive alignment with their future external product direction.
Make tough prioritization choices and find creative solutions to hard problems.
Drive entire feature delivery lifecycle: research customer/user needs; write user stories; partner with UX to design and prototype; work with Technology & Products as well as IT engineering teams to develop, test and deliver product on time; collaborate with internal roles across departments to drive internal awareness and product-team adoption for new and existing usage-based products.
Represent salesforce.com as a domain and product expert at department meetings, pricing councils, customer meetings, and industry and corporate events. Build and evangelize a compelling narrative that convinces stakeholders to support you.
Engage with internal stakeholders for requirements gathering and roadmap briefings.
Ability to quickly synthesize ideas, information, and options
Leadership DNA - proven ability to excite and lead a cross-functional engineering team.
Ability to gather and transform business requirements and market needs into a successful product strategy and roadmap.
Demonstrated quantitative business analysis skills
4+ years of product management or related experience at a technology company
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Comfort in high-level business discussions with internal/external executives
Proven ability to deliver on commitments through indirect influence of stakeholders.
Experience redesigning business systems using a combination of process, people, and product
Product pricing experience and understanding
Cloud software development experience
CRM and/or Salesforce automation experience.
Working knowledge of Salesforce products and APIs
Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum.
MBA or comparable work experience
