WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
This Senior Manager role will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of strategic program(s) within Bain’s Technology Services Group (TSG). This includes defining the overall approach and timeline, driving the delivery of desired outcomes, managing projects within the program, and dependencies across programs/products. The role will leverage business and technology acumen to stay aligned with firm priorities and effectively communicate the vision and progress with senior leadership and executive sponsors. This role requires a motivated self-starter able to independently identify value-add opportunities, take on challenges, and find solutions while successfully partnering across different levels of the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Program Management & Delivery
Own strategic program(s) end-to-end, from design/strategy to delivery
Partner with key stakeholders to define requirements, long-term business objectives, and overall vision for the program, ensuring they align with firm and technology strategy
Effectively articulate the program strategy and vision across different levels of the organization
Identify and oversee the individual projects that will achieve the broader program goals, e.g. M&A IT integration program will include multiple projects across IT verticals and other functional workstreams
Define and own the overall program approach, including major timelines and deliverables to address and meet the desired outcomes
Oversee execution of interrelated projects within the program, including their progress compared with the plan, production of agreed deliverables, and conflict resolution
Collaborate across Product/Service teams and other programs within TSG to understand and coordinate cross-functional interdependencies and see technical components through to delivery
Manage vendor engagement, including acquisition of resources, contract details, and budget management. Foster accountability for deliverables, timeline, and quality during program / project delivery
Demonstrate leadership skills, present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to senior TSG and customer management
Develop and control the program budget and manage expenditure within agreed spending plans
Communication & Content Delivery
Provide visibility into overall program progress for key stakeholders, including Bain’s CIO, TSG Leadership, and other senior leaders across the organization
Help develop storylines around the program’s vision/progress and build content for senior audiences, including TSG Leadership, and Integration Management Offices (IMOs) / Steering Committees
Develop and carry out a communication and change management plan for program delivery
Own the creation of required program documentation and artifacts, including launch communications, helpdesk materials, end-user guides
Own strategic program(s) end-to-end, from design/strategy to delivery
Resource Capacity Management
Maintain visibility into team resource allocations, constraints, and gaps in order to effectively manage demand on the program, working with Office of the CIO PMO to frame tradeoffs when capacity is constrained
Ensure and balance the availability of the required skills and competencies across project teams within the program, identifying resource gaps and raising accordingly
Act as an advisor for project teams within the program, recognizing strengths and accomplishments, and providing input around professional development Provide visibility into overall program progress for key stakeholders, including Bain’s CIO, TSG Leadership, and other senior leaders across the organization

ABOUT YOU
Bachelor’s Degree
8+ years of experience
Experience successfully managing global programs and/or large scale projects with multiple customer groups
Experience communicating to senior stakeholder audiences
Experience leading projects or initiatives
Experience in M&A IT integration
