Wayfair Senior Manager, Service Insights & Analytics in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Who we are</strong>: The Insights &amp; Analytics team enables data driven decision making and performance management across Wayfair’s 3,500+ person Customer Service group. The team helps unlock the value of Wayfair’s data assets by working closely with engineers and business partners to create data structures, metrics, visualizations, and self-serve data environments.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Senior Manager on the Insights &amp; Analytics team will work to understand users’ pain points and insights needs in order to design, create, and maintain a portfolio of products to address these, primarily using Data Studio and Looker. They will combine a deep knowledge of the business with strong technical and visualization skills to own and deliver the right solution for the right business problem.&nbsp; The resulting products will serve as the backbone to a highly data-driven Customer Service organization with high visibility to senior leadership.&nbsp; Our Senior Managers move fast, adapt quickly, and leave a lasting mark through the new data products&nbsp; they deliver!</span></p>

<p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Translate high-level business strategy into reporting, dashboard, and data needs</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with various business stakeholders to identify key factors and requirements for each project, and get buy-in for project approach</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Conceptualize and build easy-to-use data products to support deep dives which identify drivers for business trends</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage and mentor 1-2 analysts</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Quantify the impact of projects on key KPIs</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Present data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive business strategy</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Explain complex technical concepts in leadership-facing, easy-to-digest language and visuals&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>

<p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Have 5+ years of progressive experience in an analytical role</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2-4 years of experience with cloud data management and SQL</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledge of leading trends and best practices in Business Intelligence and Data Visualization</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hands on experience with data visualization tools like Looker and Data Studio</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Extensive experience synthesizing insights using Excel or Google Sheets&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Passionate about solving complex business problems</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field; MBA a plus&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Able to understand a highly interconnected technical and strategic landscape</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">People leader experience a plus</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working with incentive plan metrics a plus&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>
