If you are passionate about the fusion of revenue accounting and reporting with automation of financial systems, then this is the role for you. The Accounting Operations team supports company-wide strategic initiatives such as those revolving around digital financial transformation, launching new business models to market, and mergers and acquisitions. Autodesk is in the midst of a digital financial transformation and this is your chance to help transform the back office and create a new platform to replace years of technical debt. You will lead the initiative of upgrading our revenue automation platform as well as own the platform as the primary business owner post go live. In this role you will partner with finance stakeholders, IT developers and external vendors to succeed in the critical revenue automation goal for overall digital financial transformation at Autodesk.
Location: United States, Any, Flexible
Partner with finance, IT, operations and reporting teams to drive the implementation of a new revenue automation tool. This role is accountable for all project phases from initial conceptualization, requirements, technical development, testing, go live and ongoing post-production support
Support ongoing maintenance of existing revenue automation platform while new platform is being built. This involves supporting related initiatives around the ERP upgrade, new business models and M&A. Plan and organize eventual decommissioning of existing platform
Develop strong stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels
Provide and prioritize requirements across finance stakeholder groups and weigh costs and benefits of development work vs. manual processes
Oversee the development of thorough test scripts and manage user acceptance testing
Analyze the impact of the new tool on existing processes, controls, policies and procedures as compared to Autodesk standards. Drive necessary changes to ensure post-production success
Manage current revenue automation team and new project support team. Influence cross-functional team members to achieve project goals
Commit to continuous improvement of the new revenue automation platform by managing backlog and updating the platform to increase efficiency
Deep knowledge of revenue (ASC 606) and other general accounting concepts. Ability to discuss these topics with non-finance stakeholders
Experience with revenue automation systems (RevPro, RAR, RevStream, RevSym, or other)
Ability to manage a team of cross functional stakeholders, proactively organize and plan project activities and dependencies to achieve success
Ability to juggle multiple tasks, establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines
Mindset of streamlining manual processes reducing technical debt
Ability to grasp the big picture and drill down into details when needed
Confidence, good judgment, energy and personality to work in a dynamic, multi-business unit environment across all levels of management, business functions and geographies
Desire for continuous learning and growth
Understanding of quote-to-collect processes and go-to-market initiatives
Experience with SAP S4 Hana, Business Objects and QlikView, a plus
