POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition (TA) function at Alexion supports the company’s ability to deliver on its corporate strategy based on patient-centricity, innovation, value creation, and changing lives. TA enables this by attracting and hiring the right talent, through the right sourcing channels, into the right positions, at the right time, and at the right cost. Reporting to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition, in this newly created critical role, the Senior Manager/Head of Talent Acquisition Programs and Operations will partner with TA and cross-functional Human Resources colleagues to translate the near and longer-term strategic Talent Acquisition roadmap into a set of supporting projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be customer focused and have a strong bias for continuous process improvement, be a champion for Talent Acquisition process, system and tool innovation and a desire to build a world-class Talent Acquisition organization. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND OUTCOMES

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of sourcing and recruiting reporting, metrics and analytics; develop and iterate on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual TA reports, dashboards and scorecards in partnership with HR Analytics colleagues

  • In partnership with the Human Resources Project Management Office, HR Operations and HR shared services groups, lead the development and execution of the global roadmap for TA technologies, systems, tools, and process improvements

  • Manage Alexion’s career pages and website as well as other employer/recruitment branding sites and tools in partnership with Corporate Communications and IT colleagues

  • Evaluate and implement opportunities to improve the applicant and candidate experience, including the application, background screen, interview/assessment, pre-boarding, and new hire orientation/on-boarding processes – building on Alexion’s employer brand and it’s ambition to be the most rewarding company to work for

  • Continuously review and implement improvements and best-in-class practices across the end-to-end TA process to streamline and simplify processes and increase efficiency

  • Partner with global, regional and functional TA Leads and HR colleagues to launch and deliver on global TA programs - ensuring alignment with global TA strategy, but being mindful of local, country and regional needs and norms

  • Evaluate and champion emerging and innovative sourcing and recruiting technologies to improve TA effectiveness and candidate experience

  • Stay informed about industry and recruiting trends and labor laws

  • Develop user guides and training support materials for TA processes, tools and systems

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with ATS, CRM and other TA-related systems

  • In partnership with the Human Resources Project Management Office, lead and successfully deliver on TA-related projects and initiatives

  • Primary liaison with external TA system and technology vendors and partners, ensuring that all are performing and meeting critical KPI and that budgets are being utilized effectively

  • Internally and externally, serve as a global and regional Talent Acquisition thought leader

  • International travel 10%

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years Talent Acquisition, Talent Acquisition operations and/or TA program management experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical, healthcare or technology industry

  • Strong Talent Acquisition technology expertise, both with existing and emerging technologies

  • In depth understanding of the end-to-end sourcing and recruiting process and lifecycle

  • Exceptional capability in designing and driving recruiting process enhancements; strong project management skills

  • Analytical mindset, strong understanding of Talent Acquisition (e.g. ATS, CRM) and HCM technologies as well as reporting, data and analytics

  • Experience establishing and iterating on comprehensive and insightful TA metrics to track sourcing and recruiting effectiveness and inform and influence business decisions

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship building, and influencing skills with colleagues across all levels

  • Customer focused and continuous improvement mindset

  • Experience managing relationships with external vendors and partners

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
