A successful portfolio will ladder up to core focus areas of children’s access to play and learning, children in the digital age and child agency.

  • Strengthen and expand the LEGO Playful Learning Museum Network (LPLMN) for heightened impact on children, caregivers and museums themselves. The LPLMN currently consists of 17 children and science museums in the USA united by their commitment to increase the quality of learning through play within the museums and in the community to drive measurable impact on children’s learning and reach underserved and non-traditional museum visitors. Museum partners currently connect every 6 weeks virtually via 2-hour robust meetups and annually in-person for an intense 3-day workshop.

  1. Create and implement a 3-year plan and corresponding theory of change that will enable the Network to deepen its impact and expand globally to: increase the quality and leverage of LTP within and beyond the walls of the museums; provide a measurable, impactful learning experience for children; continue to engage and push the discourse on play with caregivers, so they may become play proponents; increase equity of experiences; and increase alignments with LEGO Group for shared value.

  2. Systematize and sustain knowledge-sharing, assessment and dissemination of outcomes from the network, including advocacy efforts around promotion of playful learning.

  3. Continue to support and strengthen the Community of Practice to catapult the sharing of knowledge amongst and beyond network participants and LEGO entities and provide a safe space for experimentation and growth around playful learning. This includes management of digital platform for asynchronous sharing plus orchestrating the development of impactful content to deliver at webinars and workshops.

  4. Partner with LEGO Foundation to hone and implement aligned partner selection process to include execution of process, review of proposals, management of selection process and coordination of contracting.

  • Work with the Social Responsibility leadership team to ensure communication and alignment between programs and initiatives to contribute to the One SR aspiration, across departments.

  • Become an active Play Agent Hero: Fully understand the transformational properties of learning through play and can put it into action by injecting more play into their daily work and leading play for children and adults alike.
