Position Overview:

We?re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Botkeeper team! Frontend engineers work closely with our ML and operations teams to identify areas where we can leverage technology to automate, speed up and improve the quality of the bookkeeping process. They also work to create engaging experiences to connect accounts and business owners to timely financial insights and enable bookkeeping to seamlessly happen behind the scenes.

Responsibilities:

• Taking designs/mocks and architecting a code structure to maximize maintainability and efficiency

• Participate in infrastructural elements such as API designs

• Front end application development using modern SPA frameworks where possible

• Work with product teams and end users in order to understand user interactions and build scalable solutions for improving customer?s workflow and experiences

• Influencing the features and direction of our products with your own ideas

• Actively contribute to our code review culture

• Lead and mentor junior/mid level engineers, and help establish coding and design standards

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience (with at least 3 years at one location)

• Proficient knowledge of core Javascript and libraries such as ReactJS

• Proficient knowledge of NPM, webpack, Git and other frontend development tools

• Demonstrated experience of building a projects from a completely blank slate

• Demonstrated experience of learning and extending an existing code base

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines

• Curious about how things work, creative about how to approach problems, and eager to collaborate with others
