Tighe & Bond Consulting Engineers Senior Engineer Geotechnical in Boston, Massachusetts

The Senior Engineer Geotechnical will work with an experienced team of project managers, scientists, and engineers across disciplines and with staff in 12 offices in the Northeast region. A hybrid work schedule with split time between office and remote work is available. The office location is flexible, but preferable from our Boston or Westwood, MA offices. Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering (M.S. Degree with geotechnical focus is preferred) Professional Engineering license in a New England state with potential for reciprocity in remaining NE states 10-15 years of experience in geotechnical services that integrates management of impacted soil and groundwater Hands-on experience with AutoCAD preferred Must thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking consulting environment, love challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work on a team required Acumen for business and client development Responsibilities: Site planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services for civil projects, primarily involving geotechnical and environmental investigation services Manage staff who are observing and documenting subsurface explorations including geotechnical and environmental sampling and testing Write geotechnical and geo-environmental proposals and evaluation reports Design utilizing AutoCAD, computer modeling, preparation of technical specifications and cost estimates, preparation of reports and correspondence, construction observation, shop drawing and submittal review, and creation of as-builts and record plans Perform various geotechnical analysis such as bearing/pile capacity, seepage and slope stability, settlement, retaining walls, and groundwater infiltration analysis Assist with business development for new projects and clients Our best-in-class compensation and benefits package includes competitive salaries, profit sharing, a generous health and dental care plan, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, ESOP, 401(k) plan, PTO, internal training and professional development, and a tuition reimbursement program.
