Job Description

As the Senior Director, Business, Technology, and Product Communications, you’ll report to the Senior Vice President, Realogy Corporate Communications. In this position, you will own and drive internal and external communications for Realogy’s Franchise Business, Enterprise Technology, and Product and Innovation teams. You will lead the development of Realogy’s technology and product narrative across the business and drive creative and engaging internal and external communications strategies that inspire the vision and clearly articulate the story across a variety of internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive executive communications for the senior leaders of Realogy’s franchise, technology, and product teams.

  • Own and develop the Realogy technology and business narratives, driving alignment across teams and creating engaging campaigns for communicating the story across a variety of internal and external audiences.

  • Craft strategic internal and external communication plans that drive results and positions Realogy as a tech-led organization moving the real estate industry to what’s next.

  • Lead communications planning for product and technology launches and updates, including communications to Realogy’s brands and businesses, franchise owners, affiliated real estate agents, and the media.

  • Develop content strategy to support communications goals, including leveraging internal and external owned channels, such as social media, company website, intranet, and Yammer, among others.

  • Plan and execute internal executive communications strategies and thought leadership, including town halls, employee messages, and enterprise communications opportunities.

  • Leverage executive leadership and other senior leaders to help tell Realogy’s business, tech & data, and product stories externally, including PR, thought leadership, bylines and sponsored content, conferences and events, and social media.

  • Collaborate with Corporate and Employee Communications leads as well as Investor, Industry, and Government Relations teams to help translate business and technology strategy, narrative, and progress for their audiences.

  • Develop communications tools and materials that help our brands and business leaders and their communications teams tell the Realogy tech and product story across their audiences.

  • Manage team of two communications professionals focused on managing technology and business communications, attracting great talent to further build a best-in-industry communications team. Serve on Realogy communications senior leadership team.

  • Showcase Realogy’s tech & data products with compelling content, including video, demos, fact sheets, infographics, and other media to engage a variety of audiences.

  • Partner with functional HR leads to craft inspiring external communication content that helps attract new talent to the organization.

  • Serve as strategic counsel to Product and Innovation leaders, including agent/broker experience, learning platform, and consumer programs.

  • Collaborate with ancillary and joint venture communications teams to roll out and extend communications to the business, including brands, owner/brokers and affiliated agents.

  • Stay ahead of the curve with internal and external communications tools, digital innovation, trends, and external relationships to amplify the story.

  • Serve as enterprise technology and product communications expert across brand/business communicators, including helping translate, educate, and share best practices in this space.

  • Measure and analyze impact of communications content and int/ext channels for comprehension and effectiveness for driving Realogy’s business, technology, and product story forward.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or BA and related experience required.

  • 12+ years of corporate communications or agency equivalent required with a focus on technology and/or product communications.

  • 5+ years of experience managing people, department or function required.

  • Experience leading a progressive communications team that leverages innovative communications platforms.

  • Providing strategic communications counsel to C-level leaders and crafting compelling messages and campaigns to drive engagement.

  • Strong track record of delivering impactful communications, including strategic planning, message development and creative communications across various platforms to appeal to a range of audiences.

  • Experience in writing, editing and publishing A+ content, including messaging, video and graphics, and managing a variety of channels to reach audiences where they want to be met.

  • Demonstrated aptitude to work collaboratively with others from diverse backgrounds, cultures and viewpoints.

  • Capability to comprehend complex concepts across technology, product, and real estate landscape and synthesize information for a variety of audiences, internally and externally.

  • Stellar writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with a passion for editorial excellence and engaging storytelling.

  • The ability to think strategically while executing tactically in support of the company’s objectives.

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and adjusting priorities in fast-moving, pressure-driven business environment.

  • Collaborative leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work creatively as you build and maintain cross-functional relationships while bringing together different teams and projects.

  • Experience working directly with C-level executives on strategic communications.

  • An advanced understanding of and experience effectively utilizing new style communications channels and tools.

  • A positive, get anything done, self-starter attitude, fast workstyle, and ability to develop and earn trust with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to work well with, influence, and persuade groups of differing points of view across organization despite reporting lines.
