Works closely with unaffiliated managers for the GIA and directly selects certain opportunistic and strategic credit investments for the GIA. Some GIA investments are through third party fund investments or through the negotiation of separately managed accounts.


  • The primary responsibility of the Investment Analyst is performing credit portfolio management and analysis, manager evaluation and due diligence in collaboration with the broader IM team.

  • As opportunities arise and market environments change, the Investment Analyst will also formulate and effectively communicate investment recommendations that add value to the various credit asset class portfolios.

  • Additional duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing quantitative/analytical and qualitative support for investment grade and high yield securities and portfolios.

  • Presenting credit asset class ideas to the Investment Committee supported by a well-developed investment thesis.

  • Working directly with the Deputy CIO of Credit and other portfolio managers and analysts within the team.

  • Evaluation, modeling, peer benchmarking and portfolio allocation decision recommendations relative to various strategic or opportunistic credit investments.

  • In-depth research of various investment-related topics relative to evaluation of potential investment opportunities.

  • Accurate maintenance of transaction pipeline report of pending transactions, in accordance with Department Standard Work.

  • Quantitative and qualitative review at least quarterly of the analyst’s credit investments’ and mandates’ performance grading in accordance with Department Standard Work.
