Navigant Life Sciences is the Life Science strategic consulting arm of Navigant’s Healthcare Practice. This role can be based in any of the following locations: Boston, MA; New York City, NY; Princeton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA

Senior Consultants contribute to all levels of the consulting process and are responsible for the day-to-day management of consulting assignments including regular interactions with clients. Specific responsibilities include: analyzing scientific, clinical, financial and strategic information to discern the business implications of new technologies and emerging trends; conducting primary research interviews with clinicians, thought leaders, and executives in the healthcare industry and related fields; managing and mentoring junior staff; and preparing and presenting written reports to Navigant senior management and clients. Travel is project dependent but averages 20 to 25 percent.

  • Graduating with an MBA, MD or PhD in a science-related field by June 2019

  • Prior work experience in the healthcare and/or consulting industries preferred

  • Demonstrated interest in Life Sciences consulting

  • Exhibit critical thinking, creativity, and strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and coach team members

  • Must exhibit ability to grasp clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services

  • Must exhibit project management skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams

  • Must demonstrate willingness to travel and work overtime when required

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work

  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data

  • Generally works in an office environment
