The Mutual Fund Financial Reporting Associate (Assistant Vice President) President will:
Be responsible for the overall management, staffing, organization and development of a team. He/she will be responsible for identifying complex fund issues and managing the delivery of services to clients, including meeting all regulatory deadlines.
Lead a team and provide guidance to Supervisors and Staff ontreatment of complex financial transactions to ensure proper identification infinancial statements
Oversee the production of the Fund's quarterly, semi-annual, andannual reports to shareholders and file with the SEC
Coordinate shareholder report mailings with transfer agent ordistributor
Oversee the preparation and the filing of Form N-CSR, N-PORT,N-CEN, N-MFP, CPO-PQR Notices for all appropriate Funds with the SEC
Act as the primary contact for client inquiries, requests and adhoc projects on financial reporting issues
Actively participate in audits across with multiple departmentsand geographical locations and respond to internal and external inquiries
Develop and adjust department procedures and systems enhancements
Coach and develop staff including formal objective setting,performance reviews and provide ongoing and regular feedback
Interview and hire new staff for the team
Work with the Fund's legal counsel and outside auditors withregard to filings, examinations, and reporting
Provide the fund's Board of Directors and Fund Management withtimely, essential and accurate reporting of Fund operations
Oversee correspondence for distribution to Fund management andBoard of Directors when deemed appropriate
Work with Relationship Management and Sales teams on clientpresentations
Exceptional leadership and staff development skills with priorteam management experience
Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills withthe ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internallyand with external clients
Strong organizational skills ideally with project and programmanagement experience and a demonstrated track record of project delivery
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to anticipate issuesand aggressively drive initiatives to achieve results
Ability to initiate and drive change
Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organizationwith the ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
Control focus with a thorough understanding of operational risk
Detailed knowledge of business processes and procedures as well asservice and systems (including downstream impacts)
Strong technical understanding of the investment industryincluding a strong knowledge of SEC and IRS regulations and rules and GAAPAccounting standards
Strong understanding of financial reporting technology andexperience onboarding new business
Minimum of 8-10 years in the mutual fund industry, with a minimumof 5-7 years in a financial reporting capacity
BA/BS or equivalent experience
