Title: Scientist II (Chemistry)

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or life sciences field.

• Recent PhD candidates will also be considered.

Required:

• 4-8 years of industry experience in pharmaceutical, physical, or analytical chemistry, food science, or an equivalent academic background.

• Proficiency in running and interpreting chromatography.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a motivation to work in a team environment with cross-functional interactions.

Preferred:

• Understanding of preformulation aspects of new chemical entities.

• Ability to generate and interpret preformulation laboratory data, including microscopy, solubility, dissolution, DSC, and PXRD.

Notes:

• This is a 100% lab-based role, onsite.

• This is a 6-month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Our team in Boston, MA is seeking a laboratory contractor. We are a multi-disciplinary research team that focuses on drug delivery, solid state and solution chemistry, and formulation tools in Drug Discovery and Early Drug Product Development.

• Characterization: Responsible for characterizing the physicochemical properties of potential pre-clinical drug candidates.

• Formulation Identification: Identify suitable oral and parenteral preclinical formulations for pharmacology and toxicology studies for small molecules.

• Analytical Measurement: Use analytical tools to measure solubility, physical form, and chemical stability.

• Support Role: Provide support to our discovery therapeutic areas
