Job Description

Takeda Vaccines Inc. is seeking a Scientist I in Cambridge, MA with the following requirements: Doctorate degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Utilize aseptic technique, sterile handling, and culture of mammalian cells of human, bovine, and rat origin as well as human tissues in a Biosafety Level 2 environment while eliminating bacterial and fungal contamination; develop a biocompatible, mechanically tunable, and 3D printable hydrogel-based scaffold for articular cartilage tissue engineering by optimizing the formulation to ensure repeatability and printability as well as optimizing the hydrogel 3D-printing and crosslinking process; communicate generated results in writing by publishing first-author and co-author scientific articles as well as present work through oral and poster presentations at national conference meetings including Materials Research Society (MRS), Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE), Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS), American Chemistry Society (ACS), and others. Up to 20% telecommuting allowed.
