The Opportunity

We are looking for a hardworking and passionate sales individual to join our Commercial Sales team! In the Commercial Sales Team, we focus on driving the growth and development of The Art of Shaving brand in what we call the wholesale channel – Amazon, Luxury Department stores, and emerging eRetailers (B2B). You will identify opportunities and build relationships with existing and potential retailers across channels (online, new & emerging retail, and barbershops), and be responsible for delivering sales targets in line with the overall brand strategy. The ideal candidate will have sales experience with/on Amazon, and with the retail / luxury industry with proven success in wholesale/B2B sales. You should thrive with analytics and have an entrepreneurial mindset; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where self-direction, hustle, motivation, collaboration, and communication are paramount. This role will be based at our Boston, MA World Shaving Headquarters.

Job Description

You will act as an active sales leader representing the brand externally, ensuring consumer and shopper insights are the foundation of our plans at different retailers, and representing the retailers in internal business update meetings.

*You are part of a multi-functional business team, working closely with Marketing, Finance, Product Supply, R&D, and others, constantly exploring new opportunities for business growth.

*Your key to success will be your ability to build on and combine soft social skills with analytical skills and the ability to use integrative thinking to effectively sell to and negotiate with key retailers.

As the Wholesale Sales Leader your specific responsibilities will be:

•Strategy & Trade Channel Management: lead the day-today selling to retailers, knowing the brand and portfolio inside out.

•Business Growth: Profitably grow wholesale revenue 10X. Identify the correct wholesale opportunities to go after & manage through channel strategy & conflicts.

•People Management: Manage a team of 4 to execute best-in-class wholesale plans.

•New Capabilities: Develop new to brand capabilities (new & emerging wholesale channels).

•Business & Market Reporting: Know your business inside & out with proper analysis & reporting.

We are looking for passionate and driven individuals who:

  • Have proven success in all areas of the sales cycle including prospecting, building relationships, negotiating, and selling.

  • Are outstanding communicators, presenters with strong negotiating skills.

  • Are analytical and data-driven; able to find opportunities through analysis of all available business metrics.

  • Are self-motivated, hard-working, and results-driven, hungry for growth. Independence and being resourceful is a must!

  • Have a contagiously positive attitude; someone with whom people love to work.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+years of sales experience in retail and/or wholesale business development

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Ability to relocate to Boston and travel up to 30% domestically

  • Experience in selling on Amazon, and Department stores

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a start-up company

  • Worked on a luxury / grooming brand
