Morgan Stanley at Work is a division within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, comprised of Shareworks by Morgan Stanley, Retirement Plan Solutions, and Financial Wellness, as well as the Digital Solutions team. The overall goal and vision of this division is to create a corporate experience and consistent corporate employee (“participant”) experience as a part of their financial life journey that will ultimately lead to a furthering and deepening of their Morgan Stanley Wealth Management relationships. Our approach is highly scalable, leveraging an omni-channel strategy with an emphasis on messaging, onboarding, cross-selling, activation and servicing. Our goal is to drive growth across all client segments, including the Mass-Affluent, with new digital capabilities. Retirement Plan Solutions (RPS) focuses on the sale and servicing of retirement plans to both small business and larger institutions though the Corporate Retirement Services team.

Position Summary:

The VP, Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving sales growth by engaging financial advisors to help promote and support retirement plan sales. The VP, Sales Consultant will work directly with financial advisors to help guide retirement plan opportunities through the sales process which includes lead identification, prospect nurturing, sales execution and client onboarding. This individual is tasked with becoming a trusted resource and partner for financial advisors for retirement plan sales.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Drive sales of retirement plans by working with financial advisors on prospective retirement plan clients

• Guide and support financial advisors through all phases of the sales journey from prospecting to client onboarding

• Manage the sales process and create a continuous feedback loop with financial advisors to ensure lead progression through the sales funnel

• Consult with financial advisor on sales positioning based on client’s retirement plan needs and goals

• Present on client calls to promote the value of Morgan Stanley to retirement plan sponsors

• Educate financial advisors on the marketing resources available to them and their clients

• Assist financial advisors with onboarding new relationships with a goal of creating a frictionless experience for the financial advisor and client

• Document all engagement in CRM software for tracking and monitoring

• Develop and foster relationships with financial advisors to become a trusted and ongoing sales resource

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• 8 year related industry and sales experience

• FINRA Series 7 and 66 or ability to obtain within 90 days

• Experience working with Financial Advisors or financial services sales

• Proficiency with Salesforce and MS Office Suite

• Superior organizational, interpersonal and client service skills

• Flexible, team player with the ability to think creatively and strategically

• Deadline oriented and works well under pressure

• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

• Positive contributor to our team’s culture
