Wayfair Retail Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Creative Operations team within the Wayfair Creative Group is responsible for driving operational excellence at every step of the creative process </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">—</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> from initial brief intake all the way to final asset delivery. Our team is made up of project managers, producers, quality assurance and automation experts, and analysts, and our mandate is to keep creative projects on-time, on budget and on brief, all while fostering an environment in which creative quality and innovation can flourish.</span></p>

<p><strong>About the Job</strong></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our in-house Creative Group. You’ll manage and deliver projects that support our existing stores’ seasonal floor sets in addition to projects that support Wayfair’s scaling expansion in Physical Retail. This role will focus on Wayfair’s Standalone Brands (SAB): AllModern, Birch Lane, Joss &amp; Main and Perigold.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This role is Boston-based and reports to the </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Senior Production Manager, Standalone Brands Physical Retail.</span></p>

<p><strong><em>What You’ll Do</em></strong></p>

<p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></em></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including: Brand Creative, Marketing, Merchants, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Facilitate good production management as it relates to: time, quality, cost and communication&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage a range of project types such as: construction barricades, window vinyls, in-store signage, branded collateral</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain the signage catalog across multiple brands, ensuring suite of parts is active and accurate</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage project financials: purchasing, billing and reconciliation</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ensure vendor output matches Wayfair’s quality and service expectations&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Recommends new materials and production processes</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with the Senior Production Manager and Strategic Sourcing to identify and onboard new suppliers as and when needed</span></li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p>

<ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years experience buying or producing print</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience on the supplier side, an agency and/or with big box, department, home decor or specialty retailers preferred</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proven vendor management experience</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bachelor’s Degree <strong>or </strong>equivalent experience&nbsp;</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Google Suite application experience necessary</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with project management tools and systems (e.g. Jira) is a plus</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong attention to detail, process documentation and highly organized</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Able to work efficiently and effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment that’s constantly changing as Wayfair’s Physical Retail organization and fleet scales</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and a “get it done” attitude when time is tight and stakes are high</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Affinity for and success networking within a large and growing organization</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to unpack and simplify complex projects in an ambiguous and changing environment</span></li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proficiency to prioritize and manage multiple projects or tasks, with high adaptability to change if required</span></li>
