WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Converse Retail Marketing develops marketing strategies to accelerate how we serve consumers and drive conversion in both owned doors and with our retail partners. We drive the vision and seasonal direction for Converse retail through brand defining and 365 storytelling. We lead marketing plan development and execution that connects the consumer experience across the integrated marketplace.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Direct Retail Marketing North America. This person will focus on creating innovative marketing plans for our Converse Factory doors.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Converse is seeking a Retail Marketing Specialist to join the North America Retail Marketing team. This role will lead the ideation and development of marketing strategies that drive traffic and conversion for Converse Factory Stores. You will work closely with internal marketing, direct business teams, and external marketing vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.

In this role, you will own seasonal marketing briefs from concept to execution, crafting retail brand presentations that highlight key seasonal stories. Responsibilities include developing integrated marketing plans, managing paid placements, and executing retail-specific email and omni-channel campaigns. You will also oversee signage and promotions, ensuring consistency in-store, while driving consumer engagement with mall centers and marketing vendors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, positive, innovative, and skilled at crafting strong briefs, managing budgets, and strong communication skills.

This role requires a passion for how consumers engage with Converse through product, platforms, and people, as well as a drive to challenge convention and innovate in retail marketing. You will collaborate cross-functionally, think creatively, and execute with excellence to push Converse forward.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably with a focus on retail brand/account marketing, brand marketing, or digital direct marketing.

  • Experience developing retail consumer journeys and programming at retail.

  • Understanding of retail, visual merchandising, marketplace, consumer experience, and multi-channel marketing.

  • Understanding of digital platforms including Apps, Email, SEO, Performance Marketing and Social Media.

  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects while remaining detail oriented and able to deliver against functional deadlines.

  • Ability to lead marketing plan development and execution process end-to-end.

  • Experience with managing budgets, authoring marketing briefs and working with external agencies.

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Analytical skills and business acumen. Proven capability to use data to drive business decisions & marketing optimization.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

  • Ability to travel domestically.

  • Located at Converse HQ (Boston, MA).

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will be the driver of retail marketing plans from inception to creation, and to execution. Your seasonal marketing approach will support larger brand and product priorities, create brand distinction and contribute to connected storytelling across the marketplace. Responsibilities will include:

  • Marketing Plan Development & Execution: Lead the development of integrated marketing plans for Converse Factory Stores, from ideation to execution. This includes writing detailed briefs, managing feedback, coordinating release to production, ensuring readiness for in-store deployment, and providing post-campaign hindsight analysis to inform future strategies.

  • Paid Placement (Mall/Digital): Manage paid media placements, both in mall spaces and across digital channels, to drive awareness and traffic to Converse Factory Stores. Collaborate with agencies and mall partners to ensure maximum visibility and alignment with broader marketing objectives.

  • Retail-Specific Email Marketing: Oversee the strategy and execution of email marketing campaigns specific to retail, driving customer engagement and promoting key initiatives, sales, and promotions. Partner with CRM teams to target relevant audiences and measure campaign success.

  • Omni-Channel Campaigns: Develop and execute omni-channel campaigns such as Friends & Family events, bounceback offers, and direct mailers to create cohesive consumer experiences that span across digital, in-store, and direct touchpoints.

  • Mall Center Partnerships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with mall centers and external marketing vendors to enhance the visibility and reach of Converse Factory Store campaigns.

  • Store / District Support: Provide tailored marketing support to individual stores or clusters, helping them to achieve specific traffic and conversion goals. This includes creating regional tests and offering strategic advice on best practices.

  • Store Signage: Manage the creation and deployment of day-to-day in-store and seasonal signage that aligns with campaigns, promotions, product launches and CRM to enhance the overall store experience and ensure brand consistency.

  • Promotions: Working closely with planning, support the implementation of promotional strategies to drive foot traffic and conversion, aligning with seasonal sales events, special offers, and key retail moments.

  • CRM & Programming: Collaborate with CRM teams to build targeted programming that engages existing customers and drives repeat visits. Focus on leveraging customer data to inform seasonal marketing strategies.

  • Market Visits: As needed, conduct market visits to evaluate execution of marketing initiatives, and competitive insights. Provide actionable feedback and ensure follow-through on recommendations to improve future seasonal plans and consumer experiences.
