What you’ll do

  • Lead team of sales professionals that drive predictable, effective, and compliant orders and sales while providing outstanding customer service. Optimize use of resources to cover market potential to achieve the Operating plan.

  • Financial Performance: Accountable to achieve quarterly and yearly Product Operating Plan targets (Orders and Sales). Manage integrity of opportunity pipeline to provide timely, accurate forecasting of orders and sales per the normal reporting cycles within the Product Business unit. Provide input to and contribute to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycles within the product business unit.

  • Develop high performing technical sales team; achieving performance metrics vs. organization objectives for commercial excellence, quality, responsiveness, and compliance. Coach sales team on commercial requirements while maximizing support for specific customer needs and requests.

  • Coach and assist team with differentiation of product offerings and solutions during the various stages of the sales process to actively move the customer through their decision-making process towards a successful outcome for Cytiva. Support team in negotiations, discussions on quotes & contracts, pricing sometime interfacing with all key buying influencers.

  • Attract, retain, coach, and develop world-class commercial and technical talent to realize product commercial strategy

  • Collaborate cross-functionally both within Downstream Modality and across other Cytiva Modalities for solutions and ways of working to meet our customers growing complex needs.

  • Drives performance management, providing regular operating mechanism of feedback and coaching.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant Life Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent years of experience.

  • Solid understanding and knowledge of the Life Science Industry.

  • Five years of progressive commercial responsibility and two years leadership experience.

  • Solid problem-solving skills - ability to resolve complex problems, communicate issues and propose solutions to both external customers and internal team members.

  • Strong business acumen, communication, presentation, influencing, relationship building and coaching skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, juggling many activities while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales solutions

  • Ability to energize, develop rapport at all levels within an organization.

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively using local language.

  • Willingness to travel both internationally and within geographic region as well as to periodic nationwide sales meetings.
