The Regional Sales Manager role will require continuous collaboration with other Life Sciences commercial departments and will drive the sale of integrated fluid transport, filtration and delivery systems that add a high level of value to und users. The position will be accountable for implementing and managing technical sales coverage in the assigned region and working closely with regional counterparts that leverage global capabilities while adhering to global commercial strategies. Using the co-development model the position will drive margin expansion by moving from indirect component sales to direct integrated assembly sales.
BPS - Regional responsibility for executing sales strategy. Accountable for attainment of sales revenue goals and product line profitability goals. Must hire, train and manage subject matter experts to interface with PhD level buying influences in technically complex markets such as production of recombinant therapeutic proteins for vaccines, cancer therapies and other liquid drugs. Must coach team in navigation of selling cycles that begin with handoff from scientists and end with production engineers. Must be able to efficiently manage technical sales representatives making engineering recommendations in a co-development selling process, and focus the team on projects with required success probabilities and ROI attributes. Will work as a corporate integrator for BPS to raise our offering from component sales to integrated systems sales with a focus on full capture of enhanced margin opportunities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Biology or other Technical Field (Required)
Master's Degree (Engineering, Biology, Business or other Technical Field) Preferred
5+ Year's Sales or Sales Management experience in the Life Sciences Industry (Required)
1+ Year experience establishing and leading a technical sales organization (Required)
Expertise in industrial production of recombinant therapeutic proteins (Preferred)
Demonstrated record of achieving and exceeding revenue and profit targets
Proven ability to hire, develop, manage and retain industry leading technical sales professionals
Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
Ability to work across organizations at a management level to achieve approval for plans and proposals
