The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for providing leadership to a team of Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) located in the Northeast region of the US. The RSD will be responsible for the strategic development and management of an assigned region including distribution partners. This position will establish and implement the overall sales strategy within the specific region to meet organizational growth objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, presents, implements, and manages strategic sales plans to meet sales forecasts.
Recognizes and capitalizes on all go-to-market opportunities for profitability and business growth.
Monitors performance of key distributor partners and performs regular business reviews in order to drive revenue growth and continued partnership.
Builds a strong direct sales team and develops talent through coaching, feedback and support.
Develops a clear vision and direction for the future of the business or organization.
Maintains balance within the sales organization, ensuring proper attention to all routes to markets and product lines.
Analyze and manage regional dealer sales data to ensure effective TSM engagement, organic growth and alignment of territory priorities.
Coach and mentor TSMs to improve compliance with and discipline around sound funnel management and use of CRM.
Develops effective relationship with Marketing to drive marketing strategies and priorities.
Maintains existing and develops new relationships with key customers and industry leaders within the dental space.
Prepare annual business plan and manage budget for assigned operation.
Anticipates risks and devises contingency plans to manage them.
Perform Problem Solving Process and provide actions to eliminate errors that pertain to the functional responsibility.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
5+ years' experience in outside sales
Previous sales management experience is required; must possess strong leadership and communication skills as well as sound business judgment.
A demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives for a dynamic company.
Successful history in negotiating and contracting with key customers and distributors.
Experience with different go-to-market strategies and selling channels including distribution, manufacturer’s reps, and direct and special markets.
Excellent communication skills including oral, written, technical communication.
Experience with prior dental or medical device sales management experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience selling / managing small or capital equipment products.
Selling company manufactured products through distributors.
Experience managing, coaching and developing a large sales team is preferred.
Adaptable and able to work well with people in an unstructured work environment.
Strong data analytics skills, CRM (MS Dynamics) and MS-Office applications.
Independent, creative, and competitive track record of success.
Adaptable/good with change.
Travel / Other:
Overnight travel approximately 30%; day travel approximately 60%
All business expenses will be reimbursed.
Eligible for incentive trip and other company sponsored promotional activities.
Salary Range : Competitive salary commensurate with experience (Min Range – Max range eg : $100,000 - 150,000). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Variable Pay : There is a potential to participate in an annual bonus plan.
