By joining us as a Regional Practice Lead for New England, you’ll lead our local wastewater team to win and deliver planning and design projects for wastewater treatment facilities throughout New England and help us build and support the business in New England.
You’d grow professionally by leading procurement and delivery teams to plan and deliver a broad variety of preliminary design, detailed design, modeling, and construction assignments for wastewater treatment facilities. Also, we’d look to you to assist senior engineers globally on larger, more complex projects, including managing project tasks. By your active participation in our Jacobs Communities of Practice, particularly our Wastewater Treatment and Residuals teams, you will grow your network across our more than 55,000 employees at Jacobs and bring solutions to our global team of engineers working on exciting and complex projects around the world.
We’d ask you to help with leading the development of technical proposals as well as lead the planning and design for wastewater process-mechanical projects. You’ll be able to demonstrate your business acumen when presenting technical recommendations and alternatives to local and regional clients, and your sales acumen through your presentation and attendance at technical conferences throughout the Northeast and nationally.
Also, your interpersonal skills will be utilized by leading project teams in conducting engineering analysis: identifying the problem, developing and evaluating alternative solutions, and preparing recommendations. We’d ask you to develop and mentor junior staff, provide quality guidance, and assist with project management.
Technically you’ll prepare models, technical reports, preliminary/detailed design documents, engineering specifications, and perform calculations in support of engineering activities. As well as lead field investigations to identify project needs and to perform construction inspections. Your attention to details will be utilized to review vendor information to assure compliance with specifications. You’d be asked to perform equipment selection and prepares technical specifications.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
• Bachelor’s in related engineering discipline
• Professional Engineer (PE) in ME, MA, RI and CT or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Substantial years of wastewater design and construction experience with process-mechanical emphasis
• Experience supporting customers with current market drivers for the New England wastewater treatment industry
• Strong data analysis and technical problem solving
• Outgoing and positive attitude, dependable, and committed to meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to develop competence in a broad array of engineering related tasks
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, and able to successfully multitask
