Rail Inspector needed for a full-time opportunity in the Boston, MA area. The Rail Inspector will be responsible for working as a part of a team on complex rail and transit projects. This role will monitor work activities, observe compliance, and track materials. Apply now for immediate consideration!

responsibilities:

  • Monitor contractor's work activities for conformance with contract documents including approved shop drawings

  • Prepare daily reports, quantity measurements and computations, and pay reports

  • Track material deliveries, handling, and storage, and review materials for conformance with contract documents and quality

  • Update record drawings throughout the life of the project

  • Observe work operations for compliance with applicable safety regulations

  • Proactively communicate with contractors and client to progress the project in a timely manner to meet the project goals.

  • Monitor contractor performance to obtain a quality product

qualifications:

  • Experience level: Experienced

  • Minimum 5 years of experience

  • Education: Bachelors

skills:

  • Construction Inspection (5 years of experience is required)

  • Rail transit agency experience (5 years of experience is required)

  • MBTA experience (5 years of experience is preferred)

  • Railroad track construction (5 years of experience is required)

  • Civil (5 years of experience is required)

  • Construction (5 years of experience is required)
