The Health Team is looking for Quantitative Research support for 2021-2022. Our vision is to improve global health outcomes in areas where Facebook can have unique and significant impact. Our sub-team’s mission is to increase beliefs and behaviors that support positive mental health, by making effective resources accessible and acceptable to more people. Our next researcher will help us evaluate our progress towards our goal of supporting positive mental health, drive strategy and help our existing products succeed in new markets. The ideal candidate will have a background in a health-related field, including public health, public mental health, epidemiology, clinical psychology, or other related fields, and have strong statistical background including experience conducting and evaluating health behavior change research. They should be passionate about developing and evaluating new products with real-world impact in the space of mental health.
Work closely with teams to identify research topics
Design studies that explore unmet needs as well as current behavior and attitudes
Generate insights to fuel ideation, evaluate designs and guide product roadmaps
Conduct research using a variety of quantitative methods
Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing
Communicate results and illustrate suggestions to various audiences
Degree in Public Health, Psychology, Epidemiology, or similar health-related field
Experience communicating analysis and results to various audiences
Experience with measurement (designing and conducting survey research), statistical analysis, managing vendors, and leading strategic initiatives
Experience with R, Python, or other programming language
Experience with quantitative skillset, especially experience using surveys, observational data, experimentation, and modeling to try to evaluate causal impact, particularly on population level health-related outcomes
Experience with Causal inference
Experience in complex experimentation
Experience in applied product research
Experience or interest in utilizing qualitative methods as needed for mixed-methods research
