Our client one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in USA is looking for a Project Manager - NGS which is complete remote.
Job Title: Project Manager
Duration: 12 months assignment with possibility of extension.
Location: This position is remote, mainly supporting the team in Cambridge, MA - EST time zone preferred to keep alignment easy.
Hours: M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm
Need a candidate with strong project management, NGS data management expertise and a scientific background.
Qualifications:
- Education Minimum Requirement: BA/BS in a scientific or technological field of study
Required Experience and Skills:
For BA/BS: 8 plus years of scientific related job experience
For MS/PhD degree: 5 plus years of scientific related job experience
Project Management experience within the science realm
Familiarity with Next Generation Sequencing data generation, processing, and analysis.
Advanced Excel skills
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Familiarity with other omics technologies, CRISPR screening
Hands on lab experience
Drug discovery experience, Oncology preferred
Jira and Confluence experience
Python coding, command line, AWS experience
Project management certification (PMP) and/or formal coursework/training in project management is a plus
Alliance/partnership experience is a plus
Job Description
Project Manager, Oncology Sequencing & Target Discovery Data, AI & Genome Sciences (DAGS) sits within our client's Research Labs, leveraging genomics data to aid Therapeutic Areas in new target discovery and preclinical development.
These efforts rely on large volumes of sequencing data and other omics profiling, along with developing AI/ML approaches to maximize the value this data can provide.
They are looking for a Project Manager experienced with NGS data to help us coordinate efforts with our Alliance partner Moderna , CROs, our client's IT, and our client's computational data analysis teams.
This role will help identifying and tracking key deliverables, milestones, dependencies, sticking to timelines and budgets, identifying / communicating / escalating / mitigating risks.
Furthermore, this role will provide additional structured support for a cross-functional internal discovery initiative as primary Project Manager.
This will entail keeping teams synchronized in their work and expectations, implementing meeting structure and working with leads to plan agendas, capturing action items, maintaining tracking dashboards and organizing materials to support the team.
This position will report into the DAGS Director of Project Management, and also work closely with the Alliance Manager.
This is a remote role primarily supporting employees at the Cambridge, MA site and distributed collaborator teams.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Next Generation Sequencing and demonstrate success in supporting dynamic projects involving NGS data.
This role will require strong verbal and written communication skills across a range of disciplines, a strong organizational framework, the ability to operate in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment, and to be able to re-prioritize work as the landscape changes.
Advanced and fluid Excel skills are a must have.
Additional data/coding skills will be valuable as well. In this role, you will: Communicate effectively and support working relationships with wide range of external and internal stakeholders to facilitate issue identification, escalation and resolution.
Smoothly navigate dynamics between our client and our Alliance partner, including external CROs and multiple internal teams.
Accurately track projects, deliverables, and datasets, maintaining and building dashboards to use to keep teams in sync.
Foster effective communication and relationships with various stakeholders to facilitate problem identification, escalation, and resolution.
Work with Data IT and Data Analysts to track and shepherd genomic data through pipelines and workflows to enable downstream analysis.
Improve business processes and team interactions to boost efficiency and connect people with essential information.
