DOCS is searching for R&D professionals in the US for Program Management Leader dedicated to one sponsor.

The Program Management Leader (PML) represents the primary contact to the sponsor's R&D Compound Development Teams (CDTs). The PML is a thought partner to the CDT leaders and co-creates the CDT strategy and translates it into a comprehensive cross-functional plan that delivers optimized program outcomes.


A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Life Sciences, engineering or related discipline is required. An advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) and/or professional project management certification is preferred.

A minimum of 8+ years of experience in project management, team leadership, and/or functional line management in one or more of the major R&D functions is required; cross-functional experience is required.

Minimum of 5+ years of successful performance on a drug development project as a PML (or equivalent experience in a similar drug development role in other departments or companies).

Demonstrated advanced capability with Microsoft Project and visualization software is required in addition to the following;

Project Scheduling, Data Visualization, Process

Mapping, Critical Path Analysis, Scenario

Planning, Risk Management,

Advanced Documentation, team Facilitation and

Communication skills

Resourcing capabilities and needs

Analytical and problem-solving skills to solve

prioritization needs

Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and

influence teams without formal authority is


Successful experience managing, or leading global and/or virtual teams is preferred, especially if done within a matrix organization.
