Wayfair Product Manager, Fulfillment Intelligence in Boston, Massachusetts

<p><em>Candidates for this position are preferred to be based in Boston, MA and will be expected to comply with their team's hybrid work schedule requirements.</em></p>

<p>Wayfair runs the largest custom e-commerce large parcel network in the United States, approximately 1.6 million square meters of logistics space. The nature of the network is inherently a highly variable ecosystem that requires flexible, reliable, and resilient systems to operate efficiently. </p>

<p>We are looking for an experienced and motivated Product Manager to lead the evolution of the Fulfillment Intelligence team, making it a central hub for order-related activities. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce errors, streamline fulfillment processes, and build capabilities for scaling Physical Retail and the Castlegate Multi-Channel program.</p>

<p>The Fulfillment Intelligence team is responsible for the timely and cost effective fulfillment of Wayfair customer and supplier orders across its supply chain network. Platforms within this domain represent the primary conduit between order originators (Wayfair.com, multi-channel suppliers) and fulfillment centers and are responsible for processing tens of thousands of orders per day while capturing exception cases, optimizing decisions and providing updates back to Wayfair’s suppliers and customers.</p>

<li>You will drive technology solutions to support the rapid growth and expansion of Wayfair’s growing and complex supply chain network</li>

<li>Develop and maintain technology platform roadmap and regular updates to key stakeholders</li>

<li>Counsel business leaders in operations and other departments on order processing</li>

<li>You will serve as an internal subject matter expert on all facets of the technology platform</li>

<li>Work closely with senior managers across the organization to ensure the vision aligns with broader company objectives</li>

<li>You utilize data to understand the scope, impact and priority of our business objectives, and enable the team to transform that knowledge into system enhancements and new features</li>

<li>Guide resourcing on your team and supporting technology teams to ensure on-budget delivery of products and enhancements</li>

<li>Define the strategy and collaborate with operational partners and engineers to improve packaging recommendations for outbound orders, reducing our carbon footprint and transportation costs</li>

<li>Partner with engineering to define requirements, build and implement an improved pipeline for the processing of transfer order to streamline the replenishment process for Wayfair’s large format retail store</li>

<li>Partner with cross functional teams to design and roll out functionality for our customers to make changes to orders that are being worked on in our fulfillment center</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>We Are a Match Because You Have:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>3+ years product management experience working with operational systems, preferably in an Agile environment</li>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in either a technology or business discipline</li>

<li>Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights while understanding business strategy and metrics</li>

<li>Strongly collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment</li>

<li>Technical background, or technical orientation; very comfortable with implementing new technology</li>

<li>Ability to think strategically and tactically while managing ambiguity, adversity and conflict to establish focus and deliver against business goals</li>

<li>Experience with SQL or other relational database query languages</li>
