MSIM U.S. and International Public Markets - Product Development Overview

The U.S. and International Public Markets Product Development Team is responsible for the development and ongoing management of various investment products, including Eaton Vance and Calvert product lines, in support of MSIM’s overall business strategy and key strategic initiatives. Team collaborates with Portfolio Management, Distribution, Senior Management and various internal stakeholders. Team manages new products through the entire product lifecycle and is responsible for ongoing monitoring of strategies ensuring they continue to be viable and competitive in the current landscape. The team covers a wide breath of institutional, intermediary, and retail products across a range of investment strategies.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Investment Teams, Distribution & Marketing, Legal & Compliance, and Operations to execute product launches and changes, mergers/strategy transitions, liquidations, and provide ongoing support to the product platform.

  • Assist supporting the existing product line (both US and International) to ensure commercial success and provide ongoing support to platform that evolves in response to Investment Team strategic initiatives, client requirements, the competitive marketplace, and/or regulatory changes.

  • Conduct market research on global investment trends using various fund databases to support product initiatives and support presentations to Senior Management and MSIM Committees/Boards to assess marketplace viability.

  • Contribute to market analysis in order to identify product opportunities as well as to improve the competitive positioning of the product range.

  • Active participant in complex, strategic projects including commercial, regulatory and governance objectives.

  • Responsible for alerting marketing to upcoming changes for communication, maintaining pipeline reports, creating pricing analysis and ongoing monitoring

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 2-5 years of industry experience.

  • Broad understanding of the asset management industry and its various operating functions.

  • Knowledge and understanding of both US and European mutual funds industry.

  • Candidate should be energetic, self-starter and team-oriented who thrives in a dynamic environment.

  • Experienced professional who understands how to navigate a large global organization, communicates clearly, gains consensus, and supports time-sensitive product initiatives.Strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to write effectively.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with databases widely used by asset managers, investment consultants, and financial advisors, such as Morningstar, Strategic Insight Simfund, and Evestment, is a plus.

  • Series 7, is a plus.
