CBRE is seeking a detail-oriented Program Manager to support onsite renewables-related project planning, product development, management, and execution activitiesfor our client’s Global Realty Building Design & Engineering (GR BD&E) team. The Program Manager’s primary areas of focus will be the Onsite Renewable Energy (RE)sources and microgrid solutioning, and related product development. These programs reduce carbon emissions across our client’s global Operations (Ops) facilities to support the Climate Pledge goal of NZC by 2040. The programs have a global impact and leverage our client’s subject matter experts and external vendors.Though the programs span global regions, the primary focus of the role is to support program execution in North America and Europe. The Program Manager will partner with GR BD&E’s customer, product development and stakeholder teams to verify and track business needs, drive collaboration, manage program reporting through written updates, establish and track metrics, and mitigate program risks.The successful candidate will be a natural self-starter and invent and simplify where needed (such as improving reporting and tracking mechanisms or optimizing workflows and other program resources). The role requires an individual adept at navigating ambiguity and conflicting priorities who can earn trust with global teams and maintain a high level of integrity.
The ideal candidate will haveexperience managing programs that span technical and non-technical teams, maintaining schedule and milestone trackers, and providing weekly, data-driven status updates to all levels of technical acumen and leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Track and report on project,program and product development performance, key metrics, and improvements / lessons learned through dashboards, newsletters, and white paper contributions
Drive the development of onsite renewables monitoring tools and energy management system product, by partnering with internal and external development teams
Scope, validate, and establish project initiatives and plans that solve group or stakeholder challenges that have been prioritized to be solved
Execute individual and team projects, anticipating project risks with mitigation plans
Facilitate/run weekly alignment meetings on program-specific updates
Drive visualization and dashboarding of key metrics to a single-source-of-truth
Initiate/facilitate major project kick-offs and drive execution until completion and handoff
Drive/follow up on project line item and milestone-level delays
Collects inputs and coordinates with stakeholders (Sustainability Operations, Construction, Design & Engineering, Worldwide Sustainability, Finance, etc.)
Report out regular project updates to Program Leads, and escalate milestone-level project issues that are impacting project schedules
Innovate and drive better Project and Program Management tools, systems, and processes
Develop communication mechanisms for informing internal stakeholders and executives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field (preference to Electrical and/or Renewables)
Experience managing projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation
Experience leading large-scale projects, programs and product development
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Superior written and verbal communication skills including proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams
Proficient in project management software (such as MS Projects, Asanaor Smartsheet) and Microsoft Office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree or other advanced degree in Engineering or related field with onsite renewable energy (e.g. solar PV, BESS, hydrogen, etc. and microgrid)design, planning, execution experience
Proficient in dashboarding and visualization tools like Quick Sight or Tableau
LEED Green Associate (GA) certification
Ability to manage a team of internal subject matter expert stakeholders and external vendors
Experience with sustainable building standards and design processes

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Power Solutions Program Manager (East Coast Region) position is $110,000.00 annually [or $52.88 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Power Solutions Program Manager (East Coast Region) position is $115,000.00 annually [or $55.29 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
