The Patient Experience Representative (Intake Coordinator) will be responsible for:
Providing support to the administrative operations of the Department of Developmental Medicine and working to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families.
Creating and reviewing patient files to track them on a waitlist for scheduling.
Being the initial point of contact for families.
Working with clinicians to assign patients to the appropriate waitlist.
Triaging cases that need to be seen more urgently; scheduling patients.
Answering, screening and routing telephone calls. Recording and forwarding messages and triaging call for urgent information or services. Responding to requests for routine information or assistance within scope of knowledge and authority.
Providing administrative support for the clinic and its providers.
Performing various administrative functions requiring in-depth knowledge of programs and services.
Other administrative tasks as needed.
To qualify, you must have:
A high school level of educational development and one to two years of previous experience such as customer service, administrative, or experience in a health care setting.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
