Job Description:

The Integrated Payments Team within Merchant Services is, at its core, a highly collaborative sales enablement and support organization. It is responsible for the research, identification, setup, launch, and day-to-day management of various solution providers that clients use to run their business. We deliver unique, value-added solution integrations to the organization that will help win, retain, and grow client relationships by ensuring their experience is always the priority, and all activities are in alignment with the Bank's Risk Framework.

This role reports to the Partner Commercialization & Strategy (PCS) Leader within Integrated Payments. You will develop key relationships and work closely with Business Development, Product, Global Procurement, risk partners (Legal, Compliance, Ops, Info Sec, etc.), and other groups across the organization.

You will be responsible for structuring, drafting, and proactively maintaining Partner agreement templates and their evolution. You will lead negotiations, identify and help build out processes to support new requirements, align with Third Party Program, and perform other contract management activities. Contracts will be negotiated utilizing best practices, providing clarity and addressing all Business requirements.

This role requires:

  • Strong Corporate contracting experience and contract negotiation skillset

  • Term sheet drafting based on business requirements

  • Comfort with legal contract concepts (Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) and ability to drive negotiation acceptance of Bank of America's required language with those terms

  • A strong aptitude for structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements of varying levels of complexity in Merchant Services, ideally within integrated payments space.

  • Working closely with internal teammates across the organization, including, but not limited to, Business Development, Business Controls, Information Security, Technology, Sales, Finance, Legal, Compliance & Risk, Partner Management, and Launch to define, design, establish, and refine approaches and processes to help bring partners relationships to fruition.

  • Proactively lead the Deal Team effort from term sheet through agreement execution.

  • Intimate familiarity with the payments industry, the models, and the players.

  • Experience in highly regulated industries, and working with Legal, Risk, and Compliance.

  • A strategic mind with the ability and desire to roll up sleeves to get things done; Proactivity and a bias toward action

You will be expected to:

  • Identify concerns before they become issues, and use your intellect, experience, and creativity to propose solutions and problem solve.

  • Consistently move your stable of work forward with minimal direction; maintain your pipeline, providing regular updates on progress.

  • Leverage your understanding of and experience with Merchant Services and key terms/concepts including ISV, Gateway, PCI, Tokens, Validated P2PE

  • Bring to bear your knowledge of Merchant Services and the acquiring space.

  • Manage multiple priorities and strategies in parallel.

  • Be highly collaborative and consistently communicate, partner, and influence across matrixed organizations.

  • Learn and adapt quickly.

Acts as an objective advisor to LOB heads across a broad set of COO functions. Drives execution of key strategic initiatives. Leads reporting and analytical efforts to deepen understanding of business economics, client attrition, client profitability, etc. Leads analyses to screen potential acquisition targets and manages business development process. Executes business/strategic planning process across sub-lines of business including management of strategic reviews by senior leadership. Leads the design, development, execution and continuous improvement of LOB reporting and dashboards.
