About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide space planning, data analysis, reporting, CAD/CAFM support in maintaining facilities AutoCAD drawing files up to current conditions and assist in the development, customization, and maintenance of CAFM/IWMS tools. Projects and spaces generally consist of manufacturing, office spaces, and R&D sites.

This is a hybrid role that will require travel 5% - 10% to conduct periodic site visits. U.S. East coast based highly preferred.

This job is part of the Moves, Additions, and Changes function. They are responsible for building space design, construction, and moving services.

What you’ll do

  • Update all AutoCAD drawings and get them set up per client requirements and specifications.

  • Move updated AutoCAD drawing files over to the Integrated Workplace Management System.

  • Conduct periodic surveys of space utilization; manage space requests, and analyze space requirements.

  • Identify and document the functional, space, regulatory, and infrastructure requirements for planning and predesign studies. Prepare conceptual diagrams and floor plans to provide recommendations to real estate team(s) and/or partners for internal reviews and decision-making.

  • Identify and prioritize quantitative information to develop functional program documents that include information about potential occupants, current occupants, space requirements, and other areas for planning studies. Apply this information to produce space planning options, stacking diagrams, and scenarios in graphic formats that are conducive to professional analysis and presentation.

  • Produces drawings and presentations for internal stakeholder(s) and client-facing steering committee meetings (Workplace Managers, Business Unit Directors, Leadership, etc.) for review and feedback; involves project management staff as appropriate for move and construction services.

  • Perform building occupancy audits for clients and update occupancy data in the IWMS tools.

  • Collaborate with other team members to gain business intelligence. Responsible for occupancy data within the system of record.

  • Lead spacewalks may be required to validate and update occupancy metrics.

  • Partner with other departments on move and relocation sequencing and execution.

  • Liaise with Change Management teams as needed. Makes recommendations to Management on necessary space planning code changes and/or requirements and updates.

  • Attend client meetings to collect requirements, and present findings, and recommendations.

  • Acquire approvals to proceed when required.

  • Acts as a single point of contact for relevant systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university and at least 5 years of experience directly related to the delivery of strategic planning services, IWMS tool familiarity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • CAD/CAFM experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) experience is required.

  • Plan On (CAFM software) experience is a plus.

  • Professional Registration in Architecture or Interior Design or Certification in Corporate Real Estate, LEED, or Facilities Management is preferred.

  • Ability to interface directly with clients; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, and analytical skills with gravitas to optimally present information and provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to our clients.

  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, and CAD/CAFM, IWMS software including MS Office Suite (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, and SharePoint).

  • Ability to collaborate, problem-solve, multi-task, respond effectively to sensitive issues, and adapt to change when needed.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% to complete periodic site visits is required.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Occupancy Planner CAD Analyst position is $80,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Occupancy Planner CAD Analyst position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
