Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Sales, Management preferred)
Minimum 2-5+ years of direct sales and/or marketing experience
Self-motivated, goal-oriented with ability to prioritize, manage tasks and follow-up consistently with all stakeholders.
Capability to meld empathy with a rock-hard determination to achieve outstanding results.
Must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization to drive strategy, influence owners and generate revenue through a variety of communications and contact methods
Ability to collaborate with the appropriate internal team members to resolve problems that arise.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and use of a smartphone
Experience with Salesforce.com, WorkPlace and Tool Commerce.
Excellent driving record.
Ability to travel every day in territory to attend sales meetings and/or shows as required
What You’ll Do
As National Account Executive you drive conversions at the end user working with Tier 1 sellers. You will generate interest in the brands, uncover customers’ needs for application-based solutions and training, and provide outstanding service in connecting the customer to our distributor partners and product service centers. The end result of your work is to increase market share for the Stanley Black & Decker brands and drive Double Digit POS. Specifically, you’ll:
Sales & Client Engagement
Drive conversions and sell-through across Tier 1 across the assigned territory.
Communicate the strategies of cost savings, consolidation, safety, and efficiency to your end users.
Develop and foster relationships with Tier 1 Sales teams (focused on District and Store level) as well as key End Users
Develop product knowledge / category expertise to make quality recommendations that successfully solve unmet needs and increase productivity
Responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing End Users
Systems Proficiency & Business Acumen
Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and Planning tool to manage opportunities, end-user contacts and territory activity. Communicate successes and failures in a timely fashion to develop a more streamlined process and future plan for success with key accounts and opportunities.
Update the POS forecast tool to forecast future business
Utilize WorkPlace to communicate Key Wins and Best Practice Sharing
Utilize BW to pull POS sales to understand key trends and areas of focus
Manage expense, demo and target fund budget
Leadership & Communication
Drive Communication and Teamwork with IC Field, Enterprise Solutions, Cross Business and Product Service Teams in the territory.
Lead coordination with other GTS Division Sales Reps in territory (Bandsaw, Vidmar/Lista, etc.)
Coordinate and partner with other departments (I/S, CSR, Credit, Channel, Sales Ops, etc.) to drive business.
Collaborate work with internal National Account Leadership and Sales Teams on key National and Regional initiatives: promotions, trainings, shows, merchandising, etc.
