Job Description

Become a member of one of the largest engineering companies in the world. Intel is seeking qualified candidates to join our Design Engineering Group as a Product Development Engineering Intern, where you will be responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. In this role, you will make significant contributions to design, development, and validation of testability circuits.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Evaluate, develop, and debug complex test methods.

Develop and debug complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.

Create and test validation and production test hardware solutions.

Test, validate, modify, and redesign circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.

Analyze and evaluate component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability, with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.

Analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.

Create and apply concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.

Autonomously plan and schedule own daily tasks, develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both technical and nontechnical, with public speaking experience.

Demonstrated skills of technical rigor and data driven decision making

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must by an active student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any STEM related field

Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
