Department Description:The Materials Operations group delivers all needed supplies internally to the medical center. We are comprised of 50 employees covering 24/7/365, servicing 4 receiving docks, over 100 delivery points and 2000 pieces of medical equipment. The department is fast paced and interactive in support of a world class academic medical center.
Job Location:Boston, MA
Job Summary:Delivers parcels as well as cleanses and replenishes various devices to numerous end user areas throughout the medical center. Maintains detailed tracking logs for delivered parcels and locations of medical equipment.
Sorts package deliveries based on delivery documentation into various delivery routes servicing the campus. Coordinates some route planning to distribute workloads accordingly. Delivers parcels to designated locations throughout the campus. Interacts with internal candidates and obtain signatures for all packages delivered.
Records all deliveries in a central delivery log and file paperwork according to guidelines for future problem resolution. Retrieves proof of delivery of past shipments by searching a centralized file location for detailed delivery documentation.
Works on a defined timeline, visit all user areas daily, identify medical equipment, cleanse medical equipment, and return to set locations.
Responds quickly to clinical area needs and source needed medical equipment, deliver and record.
Replenishes emergency code carts throughout the medical center as defined by a robust code cart inventory list. Removes, disposes and records outdated supplies.
High School diploma or GED required.
0-1 years related work experience required.
Understand of delivery instructions/documentation as well as ability to adhere to guidelines for disinfecting medical equipment.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Physical Nature of the Job:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
